Crisis Stabilization Home
Vera French Community Mental Health Center operates a 5-bed crisis stabilization home located in Davenport, IA. This home is:
- a short term service operating 24/7
- for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis
- staffed to stabilize the crisis and reintegrate individuals back into the community
- a voluntary program
- for ages 18 and older
Requirements:
In order to utilize the Crisis Stabilization Residential Home, an individual must be determined appropriate by trained personnel who will conduct a mental health assessment. At a minimum, the following requirements must be met:
- Must be 18 years or older and able to independently ambulate and perform personal hygiene routine
- Must not be an imminent danger to self or others
- Must not be medically compromised or require medical attention
- Must not be experiencing symptoms that are unable to be safely managed in a community setting
- Must voluntarily consent to services and be willing to complete all required admission paperwork
Process:
Upon admission to the program, an individual will be met by trained personnel and oriented to the site. Admission paperwork will be completed along with review of program structure, rules, and schedules. Within 24 hours of admission, an individual will meet with a licensed mental health professional to create a stabilization plan. This will include the individual’s short-term goals as well as a discharge plan for aftercare. Stays will be less than five calendar days.
