Pre- and Post-Release Support Services (PAPRSS)
Vera French Pre- and Post-Release Support Services (PAPRSS) goal is to end the stigma toward individuals involved with the Department of Corrections by using evidence-based practices to reduce recidivism and promote healthy living.
How Can PAPRSS Help You?
PAPRSS assists in providing short-term case management and linkage to services for individuals who have a diagnosed mental illness and substance use disorder, are involved with the Department of Corrections, and are uninsured or underinsured.
PAPRSS can assist in linking to services for:
- Mental Health
- Physical Health
- Substance Abuse
- Housing
- Employment
- Community Supports
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a mental health and substance use disorder diagnosis and have received a mental health evaluation within the last year or be willing to receive an evaluation prior to admissions into the PAPRSS programs.
- Must reside in Scott County.
All participants must be willing to voluntarily participate and engage in services including signing releasees for the 7th Judicial District Department of Corrections to allow communication with their probation/parole officer or correctional counselor.
