Creating Safe and Supportive Housing
Vera French Housing has been a non-profit leader in affordable housing in Scotty County, Iowa, since 1994. Today, Vera French Housing offers a proven solution to the urgent need for affordable homes for working families, seniors on fixed incomes, and people with disabilities. To date, over 170 affordable units in Davenport and Bettendorf have been developed or acquired.
Many households participate in various voluntary services provided by Vera French and Community Partners, including mental well-being support, and peer services. When tenants find lasting housing stability, only then can they begin to increase their quality of life and find opportunity. Vera French Housing units have varying rent levels, and Section 8 vouchers are accepted.
