Vera French clinics working to improve access to prescribers

BETTENDORF, Iowa — Starting Aug. 1, Vera French Community Mental Health Centers in Davenport and Bettendorf will offer patients better access to their prescribers.

Rather than picking a date in advance, patients will be given a date range. They can then schedule an exact appointment time a few days ahead of time.

Our very own, CEO Richard Whitaker said the Duck Creek clinic sees an average of five to 10 walk-in patients every day. Vera French offers mental health evaluations and continual counseling. But if they need medication, it can take weeks, if not months, for a prescribing nurse to have availability.
