Co-Occurring Disorders Program

Overview

The Vera French Whole Person Co-Occurring Disorder (COD) Treatment Program is an innovative approach to addressing substance use disorders (SUD) by integrating mental health treatment and healthy living strategies for whole person health. This comprehensive program is designed to break down traditional treatment silos, creating a healthy synergy and making our interventions more effective and holistic.

Evidence-Based Strategies

At Vera French, we employ a variety of evidence-based strategies tailored to achieve positive outcomes for individuals with a Co-Occurring Disorder. Our core methodologies include:

  • Seeking Safety: A peer-based approach that focuses on helping group members regain stability in their lives through exercise, healthy eating, and coping strategies.
  • Enhanced Illness Management & Recovery (E-IMR): A peer-supported intervention aimed at illness management and recovery, specifically designed for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
